The capital and largest city is Dakar.

- Climate: Senegal is tropical, with a dry season from November to May, and a rainy season from mid-June to mid-October
Fun fact: Music is the lifeblood of the Senegalese people. In fact, indigenous musical instruments like kora and balafon, are mentioned in the very first line of Senegal’s national anthem.
